TOF Instructions • WindowsMac

Windows download and install procedure using XPTMusic.ttf as an example

  1. Close your word processing software (e.g. Word) if it is running.
  2. In the list of fonts, shown above on this page, select DOWNLOAD THIS FONT in the right column under XPTMusic.TTF
    This will download the file XPTMusic.zip to your computer
  3. Unzip the files XPTMusic.TTF and XPTMusic.PDF and save them to a folder where you'll easily find them.
  4. Using My Computer, open folder C:\WINDOWS\Fonts
  5. Select File -> Install new font
  6. Navigate to wherever you put XPTMusic.TTF under §3 and Select XPTMusic.ttf
  7. Click OK
  8. Open XPTMusic.PDF so you have the keyboard map to hand.
  9. Open your word processing software and start a new document.
  10. Using the keyboard map as a guide, type in the symbols you want to produce, e.g. [ r l l. zil;l. zil_l ]
  11. Select that text ( [ r l l. zil;l. zil_l ])
  12. Format that text using the font XPTMusic. That should show

  1. Close your word processing software (e.g. Word, Pages) if it is running.
  2. In the list of fonts, shown above on this page, select DOWNLOAD THIS FONT in the right column under XPTMusic.TTF
    This will download the file XPTMusic.zip to your computer.
  3. In the download window select XPTMusic.ttf or scroll down in the list of fonts to where, alphabetically, XPTMusic should be.
    You will probably see the following symbols at that point in the font list: . If so, click on those symbols.
  4. On your Mac, go to System Preferences
  5. Select International
  6. Select Input Menu
  7. Check that Keyboard Viewer is On
  8. Check that Show Input Menu in Menu Bar is On
    An icon showing your keyboard nationality appears top right.
  9. Click nationality icon
  10. In drop down, click Show Keyboard Viewer
  11. Select XPTMusic font.
    Keyboard map appears showing where symbols are on your keyboard.
  12. Either select characters in Mac keyboard map or type in standard keyboard equivalents using XPTMusic.pdf as a guide.
